What’s the best time to visit?

Historically, prime fishing season in the Amazon runs from late August to January, though it’s important to note that we are dependent on mother nature for water levels in any given season, which is a natural phenomenon in Amazonian rivers. We provide the best guides and facilities during fishing season to ensure a rewarding fishing experience.

When is the best time to catch catfish and/or peacock bass?

Historically, August is great for catfish and ok for peacock bass. September is good for catfish and good for peacock bass. October through January is great for peacock bass and ok for catfish.

Is transportation to and from the resort included in the packages?

Yes, transportation from Manaus International Airport (MAO) or from your hotel in Manaus to the Temensis Hotel is included in all packages. Our staff will greet you upon arrival and escort you all the way to our resort.

Temensis Hotel can also book one of these hotels in Manaus (based on date availability) for you and include the cost in your package. All we need is your itinerary / travel dates, and we will reserve the best available hotel from the recommended options above for your trip.

When should I arrive?

We recommend flights arriving in Manaus, Brazil (MAO) by noon for same-day travel to the lodge, with return flights departing from 3pm onwards. Ideally however, we recommend arriving in Manaus at least one day prior to your stay at Temensis Hotel, so you can explore Manaus, get a good night’s rest, and meet our driver the following day for your journey to the lodge.

How many days do you recommend for a fishing package?

We recommend 5 days of fishing during your stay to maximize your chance of landing a trophy fish. However, our lodge can always accommodate your preferred length of stay, and desired number of fishing days.

Are there any extra costs to be aware of?

Our packages are 100% all-inclusive, ensuring no surprises or additional charges.

Can I reserve a cabin for less than 4 people?

All of our cabins are designed to accommodate up to 4 guests. There is an additional charge if you wish to reserve a cabin for only 3 people or less. Please contact us for specific pricing information.

What’s the pricing difference for families?

Children up to 8 years old stay free. Children ages 9-12 pay 50% of the all-inclusive rate. Children 12+ pay the normal all-inclusive rate.

Do you ever have any special promotions?

Certain weeks out of the year we attend couples only fishing groups at the hotel at special discounted pricing if you book with us during those dates.
